Blenders more active

A strong market continued last week with tea prices appreciating as all types of Blenders were more active along with increased support from the Loose tea buyers. There were hardly any withdrawals.
Dusts were once again a strong market.
CTC LEAF: 9,319 packages and 702 packages of old season on offer once again met with a strong demand at higher rates.
BROKENS: Good Liquoring Brokens very strongly competed for and advanced by Tk 7.0 to Tk 10 and these could be quoted between Tk 192 and Tk 197. Medium and plainer varieties moved up similarly.
FANNINGS: Good liquoring Fannings were a very strong market following more competition and appreciated by Tk 7.0 to Tk 9.0 and sometimes further with prices ranged between Tk 194 and Tk 197. Other varieties were also dearer often by Tk 10.
CTC DUST: 1,632 packages and 35 packages of old season on offer continued to meet with a strong demand at generally dearer rates. Good liquoring RDs were a strong feature and were dearer by Tk 3.0 to Tk 5.0, realising prices between Tk 193 and Tk 197. Ds also strongly competed for and advanced by Tk 2.0 to Tk 4.0. CDs were a good market and mostly sold at firm to slightly dearer rates. Blenders operated strongly with useful support from the Loose tea buyers.
