Bless the Tigers: Mashrafe

Saturday, 18 July 2015

Mashrafe bin Mortaza has sought blessings from the people of Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s much-loved ODI captain greeted the nation on the Eid-ul-Fitr after prayers ended at Central Eidgah Maidan of Narail district on Saturday. Mashrafe went home to Narail with his wife and children on Friday. The celebrated paceman is scheduled to return to Dhaka on Sunday. He told reporters on way to his uncle’s home : “The people will inspire us to perform better in all future matches including tests... if Allah wishes.”

“I’ll enjoy this day with my parents, wife, children and friends. I hope you’ll get to do the same.” Adorned in what appeared to be a beige-gold Panjabi, cap and black sandals, the humble hero went to the Eidgah and offered prayers at the graves of his relatives. He then spoke to his fans and posed for photos.

The Tigers' astounding winning streak at home has brought huge praise for Mashrafe as an inspiring and ideal leader, according to bdnews24.com.
