Blockade causes irreparable losses, claims JCI

CHITTAGONG, Jan 21: Businesses and common people were facing irreparable losses due to the blockade enforced by the opposition parties led by BNP.
Junior Chamber International (JCI), a forum of the young business people and industrialists disclosed it at a press conference at Chittagong Press Club on Wednesday afternoon.
Shihab Malik, president of the Chittagong Cosmopolitan of the JCI said over 0.2 million buses, trucks and covered vans were sitting idle while 2.0 million workers, drivers and helpers of those vehicles were rendered jobless due to the nationwide blockade.
