Blockade disrupts fuel supplies: BPPOA

Sunday, 18 January 2015

Petroleum supply across the country, particularly in northern and southern districts, is being severely disrupted due to the 'ongoing blockade'. President of Bangladesh Petrol Pump Owners Association (BPPOA) Nazmul Haque informed that most of the districts in northern and southern parts of Bangladesh were not getting fuel supply because of the blockade enforced by the BNP-led opposition alliance. Haque said only the pumps which were located close to petroleum depots were getting fuel supply, but those located in far-off areas were not getting any supply due to insecurity.    — UNB
