Blockade hits development work: DCCI

President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) Barrister Md Sameer Sattar has said hartal, blockade are harmful to the country and have negative impact on economic activities.
He said the blockade on transport movement leads to a decline in the development of the country. Bangladesh has reached a level now where disparaging activities will not be tolerated that interferes in business, production, trade, and overall economic growth.
"Hartal, blockade should be stopped now, at this moment," he suggests.
Mr Sattar hopes political parties will resolve their issue among themselves without disrupting businesses and growth. "Businesses and trade bodies expect this from political parties."
