BLPA chief visits Teknaf Landport, expresses dissatisfaction

Our CorrespondentbrCHITTAGONG, Sept 6 Bangladesh Land Port Authority (BLPA) Chairman K A M Harun on a surprise visit to Teknaf Landport recently expressed his dissatisfaction on the overall management of the land port, concerned sources said.brHe asked the officials of the lessee organisation Univern Port Limited to resolve the prevailing problems of Teknaf Landport as early as possible.brExpressing his reaction on mismanagement and heaps of problems which have gripped the Teknaf Landport, he said, the situation prevailing at the site is worse even then that revealed by the press.brBLPA Chairman inspected the land port pontoon, jetty, water, bank branch, restaurant, business office etc and expressed his concern and dissatisfaction at the prevailing situation there.brLater, he went to a hotel near the Landport and exchanged his views with the government officials, representatives of C&F Agents, Exporters and Importers Association, journalists, and concerned officials of customs and port, sources added.
