BMCCI to organise trade fair in KL in Nov

Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) is going to organise a three-day trade fair, ‘Showcase Bangladesh 2014’, in Kuala Lumpur in November. The showcase, the third of its kind, will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) which will help strengthen Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur economic ties, said an official on Saturday. Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industries and the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism will support the BMCCI to arrange the event. The event will also be co-partnered with MASSA, MATRADE, MIDA of Malaysia and supported by Chambers of Commerce of both the countries. This year, the BMCCI will focus on three areas -- branding Bangladesh, supporting Malaysian entrepreneurs to strengthen their network with Bangladesh businesses and investors that will help relocate and set up ‘sunset’ industries in Bangladesh in joint collaboration, according to UNB.
