BNP accuses govt of creating chaos by reviving settled issue
Thursday, 11 November 2010
BNP Secretary General Khandaker Delwar Hossain alleged Wednesday that the government was trying to destabilise the situation by reviving the matter settled 29 years ago about the cantonment residence of Khaleda Zia.
He questioned why the government is trying to evict Khaleda Zia from her home and advised to assess the public opinion about its move.
"You can harass us and try to evict Khaleda Zia from her residence but you will never succeed in your bid," said the BNP leader.
Khandaker Delwar said this while speaking at a discussion organised by Jatiyatabadi Shechchhasebok Dal in observance of the Jatiya Biplob and Sanghati Dibosh (National Revolution and Solidarity Day), reports UNB.
Referring to the reported misdeeds of the ruling party leaders and activists across the country, the BNP leader said the Prime Minister should realise how her party is alienated from the people during her 22 months rule.
