Ruling party MP Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim on Tuesday alleged that BNP along with al-Qaeda and militants of Bangladesh is now conspiring to unseat the government. He made the allegation in the Parliament standing on a point of order to protest the ‘misinterpretation’ of his recent remark by two BNP leaders. Sheikh Selim said BNP leaders were quite silent after the January 5 elections but they became vocal after the video message of Ayman al-Zawahari against Bangladesh on the internet. “They’re hatching a conspiracy. They think they’ll be able to topple this government, commit heinous activities or kill the PM or other leaders conspiring in collaboration with Ayman al-Zawahiri, al-Qaeda, Taliban and militants of Bangladesh,” according to a news agency.
