BNP central office reopens after 3 months

The Nayapaltan central office of BNP reopened on Saturday evening, after three months of closure. A group of BNP leaders and activists, led by its assistant office secretary Asadul Karim Shahin, entered the office at about 7:35 pm breaking open a lock put by police at the main gate. BNP took the initiative to open its central office after policemen deployed in front of it were withdrawn on Friday. Police put the BNP headquarters under lock and key on January 3 prior to the first anniversary of the January 5 election. — UNB
