BNP conspiracy on to create anarchy : Hasan Mahmud

Tuesday, 21 October 2014

Publicity and Publication Affairs secretary of the ruling Awami League (AL) Dr Hasan Mahmud said Monday that BNP is still conspiring to create anarchy in the country although it is caught by chaos over formation of the new committee of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), reports BSS.
"Though BNP has been gripped with internal feud, it hasn't shunned conspiracy against the country. BNP is a venomous snake which can spread its hood anytime. Political and mental bankruptcy of BNP has been exposed after laying a siege by their own party-men," he said.
Dr Hasan Mahmud said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion in the city.
Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad organised the discussion "Current politics-successes of the present government and BNP-Jamaat's conspiracy" at Bir Uttam Khwaza Nizamuddin auditorium at Segunbagicha with its adviser Hasibur Rahman Manik in the chair.
Assistant secretary of AL sub-committee MA Karim, Swadhinata Parishad president Zinnat Ali Jinnah and Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote general secretary Arun Sarker Rana were the discussants, among others.
Dr Hasan Mahmud said, "Those who got posts in the new committee of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal are not students, but fathers of students. Khaleda Zia has handed over leadership of Chhatra Dal to those fathers of students.  Through this the political bankruptcy of BNP has been exposed."
He said, "Our Chhatra League has a guided policy that none can be bestowed with leadership after 29 years of his/her age. On the contrary, those who got new leadership in Chhatra Dal are over 40 years of age. Most of them are married and they are no longer students, but fathers of students."
The AL leader posed a question as to how BNP would run the country when its leaders could not tackle their own sons (activists of Chhatra Dal).
Dr Hasan Mahmud said, "On Sunday, leaders of Chhatra Dal confined BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and other leaders. Now they have kept their own leaders under lock and key and if they create anarchy across the country in the name of launching movement for ouster of the government, people will keep them under lock and key in their houses."
