BNP demands release of Feni leader Golap

Tuesday, 9 June 2015

Condemning the arrest of its Feni's Fulgazi upazila leader Golam Rasul Majumder alias Golap, BNP demanded on Monday the government release him immediately, reports UNB.
In a statement, BNP joint secretary general M Shahjahan said, "BNP, the country's largest political party, can't be destroyed by arresting its leaders and activists and repressing them."
"The arrest of Fulgazi BNP leader Golam Rasul is the part of the government's continued misrule," he added.
Shahjahan also demanded the government withdraw all the 'false cases' filed against Golap.
Police arrested Golap, accused in 22 criminal cases, from Hasanpur village in the upazila around 1:20pm.
