BNP expels 3 Sunamganj leaders

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)'s central committee has expelled three local leaders of Sunamganj for contesting the upazila election defying the party decision. The expelled leaders are Sunamganj district unit BNP vice-president Wakifur Rahman Gilman, Mollapara union unit BNP president Nurul Haque and Sadar upazila unit BNP assistant organising secretary Momin Mia. A party press release signed by BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Wednesday afternoon said the BNP leaders were expelled from the organisation for violating party discipline and engaging in the activities that go against the party’s interests, according to UNB.
