BNP factional clash injures 15

NARSINGDI, Dec 12 (UNB): At least 15 people were injured in a clash between two groups of BNP activists over election campaign at Birampur village in Sadar Upazila Friday.
Witnesses said the trouble began when supporters of local BNP reformist leader and Madhabdi Municipality commissioner Salahuddin prevented supporters of BNP candidate of Narsingdi-1 Khairul Kabir Khokon from electioneering in the afternoon.
At one stage, Salauddin's supporters attacked their rivals with sharp weapons, leaving 15 followers of Khokon injured.
