BNP fails to wage movement: PM
Wednesday, 23 July 2014
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday said BNP has failed in movement like their ill attempts to thwart the polls, as it has no public support. ‘It is the failure of BNP and it happens if the language of the people could not be understood,’ Sheikh Hasina, also the Awami League president, said. She said if any party boycotts an election with a plan to thwart it and ultimately fails to do so and even fails to wage a movement, then the responsibility cannot be shifted upon the common people of Bangladesh or Awami League. She said BNP was trying to burn all with the flame of its failure, but they would not be able to cause any harm to the country and its people. The Prime Minister said this while addressing a discussion before an Iftar Mahfil arranged by UK chapter Awami League at Hilton Hotel in London, according to BSS.
