BNP forms relief team

Saifur-led BNP faction formed a 13-member relief team for handing out emergency aid to the people in the coastal districts, devastated by the severe cyclonic storm Sidr.
The team was formed in the city Wednesday, reports UNB.
"We formed the relief team as the government said that there is no bar to distributing relief from the political parties during the emergency in the country," Acting Secretary General Major (retd) Hafizuddin Ahmed said.
A relief team, headed by Hafiz, left Dhaka for Bhola to distribute relief while the other members divided into groups will go to Borguna and Potuakhali with relief materials today (Thursday).
