BNP got derailed, deviated from ethical politics: AL

Tuesday, 8 July 2014

Senior Awami League (AL) leader Suranjit Sengupta Monday said BNP has got derailed and deviated from ethical politics, reports UNB.
"We understand BNP's condition. It has got derailed and deviated from ethical politics. BNP's re marks against AL are the manifestation of its politics of frustration," he said.
The AL leader said this while addressing a discussion organised by Bangabandhu Academy at the Institution of Diploma Engineers in the city.
Mr Suranjit said this as BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday termed AL an abandoned party.
"The reason behind BNP's frustration is its deviation from ethics.
That is why they are talking too much and demonstrating arrogance.  One should maintain courtesy while making any comment about a political party," the veteran ruling party leader said urging BNP to refrain from making such comments in the future.
"Khaleda Zia needs to understand there is no acceptability of militants and fanatic forces in the country. Jamaat and Hefajat understood it better than Khaleda. That's why Jamaat and Hefajat have started deserting BNP," Suranjit said.
Mistake can take place in politics. There is no problem if anyone confesses it. There is still time…If BNP wishes it can bring back in constitutional and democratic politics, he said.
BSS adds: Publicity and Publication Affairs secretary of the ruling Awami League (AL) and former Environment Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud said Monday that alongside freeing foods from poison, the national politics should be freed from adulteration.
"BNP has become poison-soaked politically incorporating Jamaat as its ally. That's why they (BNP) have been threatening to launch a movement but Awami League can't be tilted sounding any threats," he said.
