BNP has no ability to go for movement: Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said in the city Thursday that BNP (Bangladesh Nationalist Party) would have to wait till next general election to see the change of the government through vote of the people, reports BSS.
"BNP has no power to go for movement against the government as they are not getting support from the people," he said after visiting road construction and repair sites at Dholaipar in the capital.
He also witnessed the ongoing drives against the unfit vehicles and drivers without license in the area.
"Two more mobile courts will be deployed to strengthen the ongoing drive of BRTA (Bangladesh Road Transport Authority)," said Quader, also Presidium Member of the ruling Awami League (AL). Currently, three mobile courts are now operating against the unfit vehicles.
A total of 7,164 cases have so far been lodged and taka 52,16,500 have been realized as fine since the drive against unfit vehicles started on November 10, the minister informed.
Among others, local lawmaker Syed Abu Hossain Babla and former lawmaker Advocate Sanjida Khanom accompanied the minister.
