BNP interested in \\\'legal dialogue with illegal govt\\\', quips Quader

Monday, 9 June 2014

Communications Minister Obaidul Quader has said BNP wants to sit in a dialogue with the government despite terming it ‘illegal’. Referring to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s remarks to a delegation of European Union that the party is ready for dialogue anytime, Obaidul Quader said it seems BNP is showing interest in a legal dialogue with an illegal government. He also noted that BNP has abstained from making any comment about the budget bill for the fiscal 2014-2015 because they consider the government ‘illegal’. Quader said this while visiting an awareness campaign by Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) on Dhaka-Aricha Highway at Savar on Monday. ‘How can a party seeks a legal dialogue with a government which it termed illegal,’ he questioned. Local MP Dr Enamur Rahman, UNO Kamrul Hasan were present on the occasion, according to UNB.
