BNP-Jamaat fails to make country as Pakistan: Ctg AL

CHATTOGRAM, Aug 01 (BSS): Terming Ziaur Rahman as the main beneficiary of August 15 carnage, leaders of Chattogram city unit of Awami League (AL) today said Zia wanted to implement Pakistani agenda but failed to make Bangladesh as Pakistan.
"BNP-Jamaat has now again come down on the field to destabilize the country and fulfill the failed dream of Zia," they said.
The AL leaders said this at the gathering before paying tribute to Bangabandhu's biggest sculpture at Halishahar Barapole intersection on Monday morning on the day of the beginning of the month-long mourning programme of August, initiated by Chattogram city unit of Awami League.
