BNP leader hacked to death in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR, May 26 (UNB): A BNP leader was brutally chopped to death by some unidentified miscreants at Kalaron village in Zianagar Upazila here, early Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Manik Majhi (40), BNP leader of BNP Zianagar Upazila unit.
Police and local sources said the mysterious incident occurred between 12 midnight and 4:30am while his wife Sheuli Begum was sleeping in another room in the house.
Zianagar thana police primarily suspected that the unidentified miscreants entered the house and chopped him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.
