BNP leader held in Bogra

Police arrested a local leader of BNP from Eidgah area in Bogra district town on Monday for his alleged involvement in subversive activities, including vandalism and arson attack. The arrestee was identified as Abdul Hamid,55, president of Dupchanchia upazila unit BNP. Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Dupchanchia Police Station said, on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Hamid in the morning. The arrestee was wanted in three cases for vandalism, arson attack and subversive activities, the OC added, according to a news agency.
