BNP leader Mir Nasir released

BNP Chairperson’s adviser Mir Nasiruddin Ahmed was released from Chittagong central jail on Wednesday as he secured bail in all the cases he had been shown arrested. When Mir Naisr walked out of the jail around 1:45 pm, local BNP leaders and activists welcomed him at the jail gate. Earlier, on January 26, the BNP leader secured bail from the High Court in a case filed for political violence. Police arrested Mir Nasir from Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong on November 28. Later, he was shown arrested in the two cases – one filed with Kotwali Police Station under the Explosive Substances Act and another with Chawkbabzar Police Station, according to UNB.
