BNP leader shot dead in Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH, Mar 20 (BSS): A man was shot dead by miscreants in Baron Village under Gafargoan upazila of the district in the early hours of Friday.
The victim was identified as Abdul Mannan Goda, 65, a local BNP leader, police said.
Quoting family members, Badrul Alam Khan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pagla Police Station, said a group of miscreants shot Mannan at his house while he was asleep at about 3 am. He was killed on the spot.
Mannan was accused in several cases including murder and robbery filed with Gafargoan and Bhaluka police stations, the OC added.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was filed with the Pagla Police station in this connection.
