BNP leader stabbed to death in Ctg

A local leader of BNP was hacked to death by miscreants in the Ice Factory Road area under Sadarghat Police Station in Chittagong city on Wednesday. The dead is Jane Alam, 34, vice-president of Majhir Ghat (ward) unit of BNP and son of late Abdul Aziz of Chandina upazila of Comilla district. Juhurul Islam, in-charge of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police camp, said a gang of miscreants attacked Alam near Muktijoddha Club in the morning and stabbed him indiscriminately with sharp weapons, leaving him injured. Critically injured Alam was rushed to the CMCH where doctors declared him dead around 7:00 am, Juhurul said. The cause of the murder could not be known immediately, according to UNB.
