BNP leader, three others awarded six yrs imprisonment in Khulna

KHULNA, Sept 20 (UNB): A tribunal here convicted a Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader and his three associates and sentenced them to six years imprisonment in two separate extortion cases.
Judge of the Speedy Trial Tribunal M Kamal Hossain pronounced the verdict after examining the records and witnesses.
The convict BNP leader is Gazi Tofsir Ahmed, Dumuria Upazila BNP president and chairman of Raghunathpur union parishad.
