FE REPORT
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Haque said on Monday that BNP leaders had gone unbalanced as they were shifting blame solely on him for what they say their ailing party chairperson Khaleda Zia was not getting proper treatment.
BNP leaders made the claim that Khaleda Zia was not getting proper treatment due to the law minister.
"Pacemaker was implanted on her (Khaleda Zia) heart on Sunday afternoon. I got information that she is doing well now," he maintained.
He said that Khaleda Zia's doctors had sought government's permission for bringing foreign doctors here (Bangladesh) for her better treatment.
"The government didn't hesitate to give that permission. That time I gave the approval instantly," he continued.
"Those who are saying that she is not getting treatment due to me (Mr Anisul Haque) are just making themselves laughing stock," he added.
BNP has raised question on the law minister's sincerity and humanity about Khaleda Zia's treatment.
"It has to be examined whether they (BNP leaders) have their own balance or not. They are talking such way about this because they have lost balance."
"If they want to express their resentment and disappointment through holding press conference then they may do that as they have that freedom. But I would expect that they would speak the truth and won't resort to any personal attack," he said.
