BNP likely to announce new Dhaka city committee soon

The BNP has decided to reconstitute its Dhaka city unit. A highly placed source in the party said, a new Dhaka metropolitan unit committee of Bangladesh Nationalist Party will be named very soon. It said that BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas is likely to be declared as the conveyer and BNP Chairperson’s adviser and former FBCCI president Abdul Awal Mintoo may be named as co-conveyer of the 21-member newly-constituted committee of the Dhaka metropolitan city BNP. Meanwhile, sources at BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s political office in Gulshan said that all organisational work to constitute the party’s Dhaka metropolitan unit has been completed. Now it just requires the party chairperson’s approval, the sources said, according to a news agency.
