BNP nominates 5 for reserved women seats

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has nominated five women to run the election to the reserved parliament seats, reports bdnews24.com.

The party's standing committee chaired by the BNP Chairperson and leader of the opposition Khaleda Zia gave the nominations Tuesday night.

The five nominees are Shammi Akhter, Rehana Akhter Ranu, Rasheda Begum Hira, Bilkis Akhter Jahan and Syeda Asifa Ashrafi Papiya.

The Awami League has already nominated 36 candidates for the reserved seats.

Of the total 45 reserved seats, Jatiya Party will get the remaining four seats.
