BNP observes 37th founding anniversary

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Tuesday observed its 37th founding anniversary by holding various programmes in the capital and elsewhere in the country.
BNP Chairperson and former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia along with party's central leaders paid homage to the memories of the party's founder president Ziaur Rahman at his grave at Sher-e -Bangla Nagar in the morning.
After placing wreaths, the BNP leaders also prayed for the departed soul.
Begum Zia, among others, was accompanied by BNP standing committee members Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Lieutenant General (retd) Mahbubur Rahman and party Vice-Chirman Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yousuf at the grave where a huge number of party leaders and activists also rallied.
As part of the anniversary BNP also organized a discussion at Diploma Engineers Institute at Karail in the afternoon.
