BNP observes half-day strike at Lalmonirhat

LALMONIRHAT, Nov 13 (bdnews24.com): The main opposition BNP has observed a half-day general strike at Lalmonirhat as part of its three-day protest against the murder of a Bangladesh Chhatra Dal (BCD) leader.
District unit members of the party and its wings brought out a number of processions in the town.
A protest rally was also held in the town's Mission Road Circle at the end of the strike around 2pm.
BCD Joint Convenor Mehedi Hasan Parash was killed by a group of unidentified criminals in the Mohammadpur area of Lalmonirhat on November 10, only 14 days after the murder of a BNP leader in the area.
