BNP observes its 36th founding anniv

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Monday celebrated its 36th founding anniversary with a fresh vow to restore people’s voting rights through a spontaneous movement. The celebration of the founding anniversary began with hoisting party flag atop all the offices of BNP, including its Nayapaltan central office, across the country in the early morning. To mark the day, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia flanked by party leaders and activists placed wreaths at party founder Ziaur Rahman’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar grave around 11:00am and offered Fateha there, according to a news agency.
