BNP resorts to falsehood over UZ polls

Communications Minister Obaidul Quader alleged that BNP has resorted to falsehood over upazila polls only to rejuvenate its leaders and activists.
 “Telling lies has become a habit of BNP. They’re lying over the upazila polls everyday only to revamp the party leaders and activists,” he said Saturday.
The minister was addressing a meeting in remembrance of late President Zillur Rahman. Awami Sangskritik Forum organised the programme at the Awami League president’s office at Dhanmondi in the city, according to a news agency.
Quader also claimed the upazila polls are now being held in a fairer manner than any other times in the past. “The government will provide as much assistance as needed to Election Commission to hold the polls fairly.”
