BNP sceptical over fair trial of 7 murders

Accusing the government of creating a smokescreen over the arrest of the accused and investigating into the incident, BNP has expressed doubt over the fair trial of Narayanganj seven-murder case.
“After buying a long time, two accused Rab officials were arrested yesterday (Friday) night. We’re sceptical about the fair trial of the incident as the way government is killing time in arresting the accused and probe into the incident,” said BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
He was addressing a press briefing at the BNP’s Nayapaltan central office.
Referring to media reports, Rizvi said sacked Rab official Lt Col Tareque Sayeed Mohammad who was arrested in connection with Narayanganj incident had also earlier made disappeared Laksam BNP leader Hiru and Siddiganj businessman Ismail Hossain.
He alleged that the incidents of killing and forced disappearance are increasing alarmingly across the country, according to UNB.
