BNP sent 42 officers on forced retirement, Ismat Ara tells JS

State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadeq told parliament Tuesday that the BNP government sent 42 government officers on force retirement during its regime, reports BSS.
"Only five government officers were sent on force retirement during the tenure of the present government while previous BNP government sent 42 officers during its last regime," she said while replying to a question of treasury bench member Begum Sanjida Khanam.
Replying to another question of the opposition bench member Begum Noor-e-Hasna Lily Chowdhury, the state minister said the government made 138 officers Officer on Special Duty (OSD) after assuming power.
Of them, one secretary, 14 additional secretaries, 41 joint secretaries, 22 deputy secretaries, 50 senior assistant secretaries and 10 assistant secretaries, Ismat Ara informed the House.
