BNP standing body meet rescheduled for Nov 13
Tuesday, 4 November 2014
The Wednesday’s meeting of the BNP national standing committee has been rescheduled for November 13 due to hartal called by Jamaat. BNP chairperson's press wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan confirmed this to UNB on Tuesday. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is set to enforce another spell of countrywide 48-hour hartal on Wednesday protesting the death sentence awarded to its two leaders for war crimes. Meanwhile, a meeting of the BNP advisory council will be held on November 10 while vice-chairmen and joint secretaries of the party will sit on November 11, added Sayrul. Party sources said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will attend all the meetings and discuss with her party leaders about the preparations for BNP’s national council, and will finalise BNP’s next action programmes.
