BNP to form mass court for share scam if it comes to power

BNP will form a mass court (Gano Adalot) if it comes to power for holding trial of those involved in the recent share market scam in the country, reports UNB.
BNP front-ranking leader Moudud Ahmed made the remarks addressing a roundtable discussion on "Serious Collapse in Share Market: Future of Small Investors" organised by Zia Sena central committee at the Jatiya Press Club Sunday.
He asked the government to immediately withdraw the cases filed against investors of stock market saying after consultation with all sections of investors, recommendations will be placed to the government.
The former Law Minister said corruption in the share market will form the stage for the fall of the government.
He said the share market scam is being covered forming investigation committee to save the real offenders. So, two months have been taken to publish the report of the inquiry committee.
Moudud alleged that 15 persons are controlling the scam incident. He demanded they be remanded.
Moudud said the government has no courage to arrest them as a portion of the government is involved with the share scam.
BNP chairperson's adviser Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury at the roundtable said if BNP comes to power, a mass hearing on share scam will take place which would be broadcast through radio and television so that countrymen can observe it.
Presided over by Zia Sena committee president Abdur Rahman Tapan, the roundtable was addressed, among others, by opposition chief whip Zainul Abedin Farroque and JAGPA president Shafiul Alam Prodhan.
