BNP to govt: Repeated calls for dialogue not a weakness

Thursday, 2 October 2014

BNP spokesman Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Thursday warned that the government will make a big mistake if it treats their repeated calls for talks over the country’s political crisis as weakness. “BNP wants to have the crisis resolved through dialogue as it doesn’t want violence in the country. If the government considers it as our weakness it’ll be its blunder,” he said. Fakhrul, also the BNP acting secretary general, made the remarks while addressing a briefing at its Nayapaltan central office, according to a news agency.
