BNP to stage demo today

BNP will stage demonstrations across the country, except Dhaka city, today (Thursday) protesting police action against its leaders and activist who gathered outside a makeshift court in the city's Bakshibazar when party Chairperson Khaleda Zia had been there yesterday in connection with two graft cases filed against her by the Anti Corruption Commission. BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the protest programme at a press briefing at the party's Nayapaltan central office on Wednesday evening, according to a news agency.
