BNP trying to create anarchy over Rohingyas: Quader

COX'S BAZAR, Oct 5 (BSS): Awami League (AL) general secretary Obaidul Quader alleged on Thursday BNP is trying to create anarchy in the country over Rohingya issue.
"They (BNP) have started ill-politics over Rohingya issue as they did centring the Chief Justice," the minister told newsmen while distributing relief materials among the Rohingya people at Kutupalang camp of the district.
Warning that any evil force might get into the Rohingyas, Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, said, "The number of Rohingyas has increased in an unprecedented manner. Evil forces might enter into this wave. So, we have to work with caution".
Bangladesh has sheltered about 5.0 million (500,000 lakh) Rohingya people since August 25 on humanitarian ground and more Rohingyas are waiting to come here, the minister said, adding that all assistance including, shelter, food, health service and security, are being given to the forcibly displaced people.
"The government has stood by the persecuted people. So, no politics should be done centring the humanitarian assistance to the Rohingya people," the AL general secretary said.
He also inaugurated a medical centre at Kutupalang Rohingya camp, initiated by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
AL Relief Affairs Secretary Sujit Ray Nandi, Asheq Ullah Rafiq, MP, BSMMU vice-chancellor Kamrul Hasan and Cox's Bazar district AL president Advocate Sirajul Mostafa and general secretary Mujibur Rahman were present, among others, on the occasion.
