BNP unveils Independence Day prog

BNP chalked out on Saturday a three-day programme, including holding a discussion and taking out a rally, to observe the Independence Day, reports UNB.
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the programme at a press conference at the party's Nayapaltan central office after a joint meeting of the party and its associate bodies.
As part of the programme, BNP standing committee members and its senior leaders, on behalf of party chairperson Khaleda Zia, will pay tributes to the martyrs of the Liberation War by placing wreathes at the National Mausoleum, Savar at 9am on March 26.
Later, they will place wreaths at the mazar of late BNP founder Ziaur Rahman at Sher-e-Banglanagar in the capital at 11am to mark the day.
