BNP wants to face AL in field minus police: Abbas

BNP’s Dhaka city unit convener Mirza Abbas on Sunday said though they want to face Awami League (AL) in the field, the ruling party opts to resist them by law enforcers. “Nasim (Health Minister) has announced to face us in the field. We too actually want to deal with them in the field. But they want to tackle us by police and Rab,” he said. Abbas, also a BNP standing committee member, came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after a meeting of the Dhaka city unit BNP’s convening committee at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office, according to a news agency.
