BNP wants trial of those who killed FFs after independence

BNP leaders Thursday cautioned against attempt of posthumous trial of Ziaur Rahman and said that people want trial of killers of freedom fighters (FFs), reports UNB.
Speaking at a rally in front of Jatiya Press Club in the afternoon they said the ruling party orchestrated a vicious propaganda to vilify late President Ziaur Rahman and his family. The rally was part of countrywide demonstration to protest the government campaign.
BNP front ranking leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said people want that those, dead or alive, killed Siraj Sikder and other valiant freedom fighters should be brought to the dock.
He strongly protested indecent remarks against Zia in and out of parliament by the ruling party leaders and their toadies.
Mosharaff urged the people to prepare for united movement against the government for its misdeeds and oppressive rule.
