Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud said on Friday BNP's comments on the country's health sector and its quest for flaws in everything reveal the party's bankruptcy of thoughts, reports BSS.
The minister said this while replying to a question from journalists at his official residence on Minto Road in the city.
When asked about BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's comment on the World Health Day that the country's health system has completely collapsed, the minister questioned if the health sector got collapsed how the country could tackle the three waves of coronavirus pandemic more effectively compared to many developed nations.
When 130 countries couldn't begin vaccination programme for Covid-19, Bangladesh began its inoculation programme and 10 million people were vaccinated together, he said.
Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, said hundreds of students and teachers of madrasas, slum dwellers and floating people were given jabs without registration in this densely populated country.
"Such a programme is taken in very few developing and densely populated countries in the world," he mentioned.
