BNP\\\'s Salahuddin Ahmed picked up

BNP joint-secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed was picked up by members of law enforcing agencies from a house at Uttara at around 10:00 pm Tuesday, said a press statement issued by the party's standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan on Wednesday. The statement said a team of 20 to 30 members of law enforcing agencies including police, DB and RAB picked up the former state minister from the House No. 49 A, Road No. 13D, Uttara in Dhaka. They also picked up a male worker and a female worker of the house, the statement mentioned. In the statement, the BNP demanded immediate release of Salahuddin Ahmed along with two others and urged the government to stop such secret act of picking up opposition leaders. Whereabouts of the arrested BNP leader could not be known until filing this report at 10:00 pm on Wednesday.
