Boat capsizes, one drowns

NOAKHALI, Sept 12 (UNB): A fisherman drowned as a fishing boat capsized after collision with an oil-laden cargo vessel in the river Meghna near Nur Islam Char in Hatia Upazila early Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Imran (40), of West Adarshao village of the upazila.
Sources said the fishing boat capsized when it collided with the oil-laden cargo vessel at about 2:00 am. Eleven fishermen of the boat managed to swim ashore while Imran went missing.
Later, the floating body of Imran was recovered from the river in the morning.
