Boatman electrocuted in Pabna

A boatman died from electrocution and one of his relatives went missing after getting electric shock in a beel (water body) in Bhangura Upazila in Pabna on Thursday night. The dead is Rashed Hasan, 30, a resident of Dilpasha village in the Upazila. His relative Jony went missing in the accident. Police said Rashed and Jony were returning home from Bhangura town along with other people by boat. The two got electric shock as they came in contact with a high-voltage electric wire spreading over the water body when they were on the rooftop of the country boat, and fell into the water. Later, other boat passengers recovered the body of Rashed. However, Jony remained missing, according to UNB.
