Bodies of 2 flood victims found in Cox\\\'s Bazar

Bodies of two people, including a minor child, who drowned in floodwater were recovered from different parts of Cox’s Bazar district on Saturday. Chakaria upazila Chairman Jafar Alam said the body of a teenage boy, who went missing while catching fish in a river on Friday, was recovered from the river in the upazila around 11:30 am on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Kawsain Rahim, 12, son of Farhad Reza of Shahamora Bandh village in the upazila. Besides, the body of a two and half year old boy who went missing after falling into floodwater while going to a nearest shelter home around 5 pm on Friday, was recovered in Pekua upazila in the morning. Shafayat Aziz Raju, Pekua upazila chairman, confirmed the death on Saturday. Earlier, at least 10 people were killed in landslides and flashfloods, triggered by torrential monsoon rains in Cox’s Bazar district on Friday, according to a news agency.
