Bodies of 3 Bangladeshis arrive

The bodies of three Bangladeshi construction workers, killed in a span collapse in Malaysia on Monday night, arrived in Dhaka on Thursday. A flight carrying the bodies landed at Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport in the morning, a civil aviation official at Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) Int’l Airport has said the bodies of Mohammad Elahi Hossain, Mohamed Faruk Khan and Mohammad Alauddin Mollick arrived at the airport in Kurmitola around 6:20am. Earlier, the bodies of the three Bangladeshis had undergone autopsy at Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor, Malaysia. The three Bangladeshi workers died when a 490 tonne concrete span collapsed to bury them at a worksite of Mass Rapid Transit Corporation (MRT Corp) at 8:30pm on Monday (local time) at Kota Damansara in Petaling Jaya in Selangor. Bernama quoted eyewitness Md Shahjahan, 30, another Bangladeshi, as saying that one of the victims had phoned him to bring over some tools just before the accident. He said that he was heading towards them when he saw concrete falling on them. He said during the incident, there were eight Bangladeshi workers at the site including three on top of the concrete structure, according to a news agency.
