Bodies of 6 Saudi fire victims arrive Friday

The bodies of six of the nine Bangladesh nationals who were burnt to death in a fire at a furniture-manufacturing factory in Riyadh on May 12 will be brought home on Friday. A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the bodies is scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 3pm, said assistant director of district employment and manpower office on Tuesday. Assistant director of Expatriates’ Welfare Board Jahid Anwar said relatives of the victims have been asked to be present at the airport to receive the bodies. He also said the bodies of three other Bangladeshi victims will reach home in a week, according to a news agency.
